Company history

Founded in 1961, Froling now looks back on over 4 decades of experience in wood-heating technology. The production of the first boiler in a small hall marked the beginning of the long and successful road.

Thanks to continuous research and development, the Froling name is now firmly anchored in the world of modern heating technology. As a pioneer in its field, the family business has achieved many Milestones:

1961

The Froling company is founded, employing around 10 staff members to produce the first boiler

1970

Location change

1982

The company expands – employing around 60 staff members who now work at the modernized maunfacturing plant

1994

Froling expands production and relocates to new premises

2001

Construction of an additional manufacturing plant (tank construction) in Marzahna (Germany) and the development and production of an innovative tank and heat exchanger system for heating, hot water and solar

2005

Construction of manufacturing plant 3 in Stritzing (Austria) with one of the most modern sheet steel processing centers for production and final installation, logistics and a permanent testing facility for boilers

2006

Branch in Mundolsheim (France) established

2006

Branch in Aschheim (Germany) established

2006

Branch in Bozen (Italy) established

2011

Manufacturing plant Extension 3 – goods logistics center (12.000 m²)

2014

New training center at the main Froling Headquarters in Grieskirchen is completed

Today

Today Froling employs around 1000 people and is successful throughout Europe, exporting its firewood, waste wood and pellet fired boilers at a rate of over 80%.
